SKH News Roundup: Week of 8/29

August 30, 2022

We have a lot of stuff going on! The biggest news is we are now well positioned to add (3) of our original shows filmed last year into Amazon programming for the fall season. We are currently re-editing for the streaming platform and will be adding some new content for delivery by end of Sept. It’s a little late in coming together and frankly was unexpected for 2022) as our first official season is still in production. However, as with anything in the broadcast industry, it’s all subject to change -currently we are working though some licensing and contractual issues that may or may not green light this last minute endeavor.

We had a super cool film shoot yesterday at The Salisbury Woods Haunted attraction in Salisbury NH with a focus on developing a segment about the massive amount of work that goes into the setup/build for a Haunted House during each the season. We are scheduled to shoot some of the new builds and structures at Haunted Overload during this Labor day weekend.

We have finalized a list of Haunts we will be filming in the fall, currently we have 14 haunts scheduled over 26 filming days in NH, NJ, PA, VA, MD, MI. We are trying to add a few other last minute dates and may move things around a little, but we will be posting fixed filming dates / locations in the next few days. We wish we could film more but logistically it’s just not possible. We had an overwhelming reaction from Haunts owners wishing to participate for the 2022 season and we really appreciated them reaching out. If we don’t get you this year, we hope to film you for the next season in the fall of 2023.

We also made it on to IMDB this week – check it out!

Sizzle (Scare) Reel

June 13, 2022

We are currently working on a new “Sizzle Reel” to secure (the right) distribution platforms. Although industry folks have already shown significant interest in the show, this will help us solidify our case for asizable investment, which is required to bring the show to market in the right way. This five- to seven-minute video will be a private industry release; however, we are also planning to make available a public show reel/extended trailer that will give folks a better understanding of what we are doing and the direction the show is taking. More to follow…

Film Shoot at Field of Screams

May 16, 2022

We had a terrific time filming at the insanely elaborate and vast Field of Screams haunted attraction in Mountville, PA for its “Halfway to Halloween” event.

We were blown away by how accommodating owners Jim, Gene, and Tanner Schopf were in allowing us to film anything and everything here. We were on site for 27 hours over three days and have approximately 14 hours of amazing footage and interviews with the scare actors, makeup artists, and crew. Jim provided us with a highly detailed walkthrough of the haunt and is just perfect on camera. He really bonded with Spooky Kisses, and they had so much fun filming some of the walkaround segments! We can’t wait to edit this together for the next full show.

We are planning on returning in the fall to capture the full Halloween madness and experience the FOS world-famous Hayride and Nocturnal Wasteland attractions, so we expect this to be edited in November or December 2022. We would like to thank Chris Bartels, the FOS site manager, who was a real trooper and coordinated a ton of stuff for us behind the scenes. He really made this all possible. This is going to be one killer episode!

Here are a few shots from the shoot.
