100 DAYS AND THE WAIT IS OVER
Halfway to Halloween!
This spring has been exceptionally busy as we are feverishly working on post-production tasks for 10 new shows, which will be delivered to Amazon Prime for our premiere season this fall. Additionally, we are filming at Nightmare Acres, South Winsor, CT on Sat April 29th and Brighton Asylum, Passaic, NJ on Saturday, May 6th for both of their Halfway to Halloween events. We are also looking forward to returning to Pennhurst Asylum on Sunday, May 7th to capture additional B-roll footage for the upcoming 2023 show.
We are also working on approx. 30 trailers to be used to promote the series for our first season and have been focusing our narrative on the phycological aspects of fear and how that relates to Halloween and the Haunted Attraction industry at large.
At Field Of Screams for Valentines Day Show
Spooky Kisses Haunts will be visiting Field of Screams in Mountville PA on Saturday February 11th to witness and participate in their highly anticipated valentines day show. We will be filming the occasion and some new edits may make it into the FOS upcoming fall episode. We hope to get Spooky all made up as she learns to become a scare actor and is let loose on the public!
If you are in the area, come join us and say hi!
SKH – Now on Prime Video
We are excited to announce that Episode 1 (Haunted Overload) of Season 1 is now streaming on Prime Video at the below link. We would be thrilled if any folks out there wanted to support us, watch and write a review, it will really help the show’s future viability.
SKH News Roundup: October 2022
October has been a creatively busy and productive, yet highly frustrating month in many ways. After a month filming on the road, both Spooky Kisses and I came down with a bad case of Covid which forced us to cancel 9 days of remaining filming for Red Vein, Field of Screams, Darkwood Manor, Imaginarium Sanitarium, Haunted Overload and The Salisbury Woods. These haunt owners, although I know are disappointed, were very gracious, understood our situation and supportive of our decision to cancel, we will reprioritize them next year. Secondly, Amazon Prime has been super slow to publish the first episode of Season One (Haunted Overload) although it was approved in late Sept. I spoke to the tech assigned to the case yesterday and notes show they are still waiting for an internal team review, as there was a technical problem on their end. She is trying to speed up the process and has engaged managers but Amazon is a behemoth, we will just have to wait it out, whenever it goes live – it goes live, we already missed Halloween Season — it will be interesting to see how well the show performs on Prime with the season being over.
The good news is we did manage to film eight new (40 to 60 min) shows of completely new haunts for season 2 and the footage and content is just incredible and came in around 20TB of 4K video. I really want to thank all the haunt owners that allowed us to film, it was an amazing experience and they all went to great lengths in accommodating us and getting us what we needed to make each shooting location work. I also want to thank my Son Devin Perry who stepped in at the last minute to film 2-nights at The Salisbury Woods while I was too sick, this will provide enough new content to re-edit a new 60 min show for them which should also be available on Amazon Prime as well as Kim’s Krypt Haunted Mill re-edit and Haunted Overload as part of our first season.
Only 2-days until Halloween, have a spooky day!
SKH Filming Schedule 2022
After a lot of back and forth, humming and harring and detailed planning, we are very excited to be filming at these amazing haunts this fall. We are also sad about some of the haunts we wanted to visit but it was just not possible this year. There are so many factors that go into this type of planning, it’s frankly a complete nightmare and like setting up a band tour –but the venues are only open on weekends! We do appreciate the massive amount of support received from the haunt industry and the haunt owners (you know who you are) that have been extraordinarily generous with their time and resources. The actors are just incredible, they are the lifeblood of the industry and we are so grateful for being able to capture their madness!
SKH News Roundup: Week of 8/29
We have a lot of stuff going on! The biggest news is we are now well positioned to add (3) of our original shows filmed last year into Amazon programming for the fall season. We are currently re-editing for the streaming platform and will be adding some new content for delivery by end of Sept. It’s a little late in coming together and frankly was unexpected for 2022) as our first official season is still in production. However, as with anything in the broadcast industry, it’s all subject to change -currently we are working though some licensing and contractual issues that may or may not green light this last minute endeavor.
We had a super cool film shoot yesterday at The Salisbury Woods Haunted attraction in Salisbury NH with a focus on developing a segment about the massive amount of work that goes into the setup/build for a Haunted House during each the season. We are scheduled to shoot some of the new builds and structures at Haunted Overload during this Labor day weekend.
We have finalized a list of Haunts we will be filming in the fall, currently we have 14 haunts scheduled over 26 filming days in NH, NJ, PA, VA, MD, MI. We are trying to add a few other last minute dates and may move things around a little, but we will be posting fixed filming dates / locations in the next few days. We wish we could film more but logistically it’s just not possible. We had an overwhelming reaction from Haunts owners wishing to participate for the 2022 season and we really appreciated them reaching out. If we don’t get you this year, we hope to film you for the next season in the fall of 2023.
We also made it on to IMDB this week – check it out!

Sizzle (Scare) Reel
We are currently working on a new “Sizzle Reel” to secure (the right) distribution platforms. Although industry folks have already shown significant interest in the show, this will help us solidify our case for asizable investment, which is required to bring the show to market in the right way. This five- to seven-minute video will be a private industry release; however, we are also planning to make available a public show reel/extended trailer that will give folks a better understanding of what we are doing and the direction the show is taking. More to follow…
